2D Photonics develops proprietary silicon photonics technologies aimed at significantly improving the energy efficiency and reducing the cost of high-speed optical transceivers.
The company operates in the fast-growing silicon photonics market, with applications across multiple sectors and a particular focus on data centres, where demand for faster and more energy-efficient data transmission is rapidly increasing.
Following the exit from Phoelex in June 2024, the investment was rolled over into 2D Photonics (formerly CamGraPhIC), continuing Indaco Ventures I’s exposure to the silicon photonics space after the initial investment in Phoelex’s Series A round in March 2020.
